Rodrigo Alves was born to the parents of a Brazilian mother and the British dad on the 30th of July 1982 in Sao Paulo. His father, Roserval Alves, hailed from a Portuguese family who arrived in Brazil in the early 1940s. They started with agriculture, and later expanded to shopping and retail centers. As a child, young, her grandfather bought her Barbie dolls. Alves was born a male however, she believed that she should have been a female from the age of "three and four, five and six". She also played with dolls, cross-dressed as well as enjoyed having fun with them. It is her belief that women do not have to be defined according to gender. Alves was shy and bullied throughout her youth. Alves had to endure bullying as a teenager because she had hormone imbalance. Too much estrogen caused the breast tissue to expand. The family of Alves owns many supermarkets located in Brazil that have made them successful, however, as of 2018, Alves has not made any money from the grocery stores. [10] Alves moved to London when she was 18 in order to study public relations at London College of Communication. The money she has comes via an inheritance left by her maternal grandmother.
